About the Campaign

Enduring Foundations is a fundraising appeal to support Idaho Novus Classical Academy, a school dedicated to providing a tuition-free, public, American classical education to Idaho students in Eagle, Emmett, Horseshoe Bend, and beyond. The name of our campaign is a nod to the foundations of both Western Civilization and to the founding of our Republic. To fulfill our lofty mission, we are seeking to expand the literal foundations of our current building for our facility expansion to include both upper school classrooms and a full-size gymnasium. Join us in honoring our historic foundations and support our commitment to form future citizens who uphold the ideals of our country’s founding and promote the continuation of our American experiment. The Need to Grow

Our school is adding a grade each year until K-12 is served, but we are already outgrowing our current facility. Idaho Novus Classical Academy will begin a large-scale expansion project in 2027 which will include additional classrooms to serve our high school students, a science lab, a seminar room, and a band room. We will also construct a full-size gymnasium at the same time. The planned growth of our facility will ensure that our efforts to form future citizens can continue through the full scope of a K-12 education.

The Need for Support

As a tuition-free publicly funded charter school in Idaho, Idaho Novus Classical Academy is one of the lowest-funded schools in the nation. The state of Idaho consistently ranks last in per pupil funding out of all 50 states, less than half of the nationwide average. In addition, Idaho Novus has approximately 40% less operational dollars to spend per pupil than nearby district schools in Idaho, who receive 10% more funding per pupil.  Because we cannot bond or levy, facilities must be financed out of our operational budget. In the 2025-2026 school year, this resulted in facility debt service taking up 17% of our budget allocation. Idaho Novus receives 70% less funding per pupil than the network average across all Hillsdale K-12 Member Schools nationwide. In spite of all of this, our first several years as a school have been nothing short of extraordinary. We are seeing incredible outcomes with a fraction of the funding, due to our incredible Hillsdale Curriculum and strong school culture. We need your help to secure Enduring Foundations.

Tax Benefits

The One Big Beautiful Bill was signed into law on July 4, 2025. Starting in 2026, individuals who take the standard deduction (non-itemizers) will now be able to deduct up to $1,000 in charitable contributions ($2,000 for married couples) on their federal taxes. For itemizers, there is now a deduction floor. Only contributions that exceed .5 percent of adjusted gross income will be deductible. Strategic planning will be needed to maximize benefits.

In addition to federal tax credits applicable to 501c3 organizations, Idaho has a unique tax credit opportunity specifically for contributions to schools. Under this rule, gifts to Idaho Novus Classical Academy may qualify for a 50% tax credit (a reduction in the actual tax you owe). This credit is available regardless if you itemize deductions. If you itemize your taxes, a donation to Idaho Novus Classical Academy allows income tax deductions on your state and federal returns, plus a 50% Idaho income tax credit. Please review this chart and consult with your tax advisor.

Naming Opportunities

While gifts of all sizes are needed and appreciated, to make our campaign goals a reality, we are counting on impactful gifts at various levels:

These donors will be recognized on a beautiful, prominent donor wall in our new gymnasium for generations to come. Giving at higher levels will be recognized by naming rights for various campus spaces with limited availability. These opportunities begin with our general classrooms.  For larger gifts, naming rights will escalate proportionally to central spaces such as our upper school science lab, upgraded seminar room, cafeteria. At the highest level, for a limited time, we are offering naming rights to our full-size gymnasium with premier highway 55 frontage.
