Late Arrival/Early Pick Up
Parents who arrive after the start of school must walk students into the front office and sign them in. Under special circumstances (such as a doctor’s appointment), parents may pick up students early from the front office.
Idaho Novus Classical Academy utilizes PickUp Patrol to help better manage our dismissal process. Our students remain securely in their classrooms until released to their dismissal plan by the office.
PickUp Patrol provides a layer of safety to our dismissal process by authorizing plan changes and automatically tracking student dismissal plans. The application reduces interruptions, speeds up dismissal time, and is administered by our own staff.
Parents have options when considering how to transport students to and from Idaho Novus. You can drop off and pick up students using personal transportation, take advantage of our bus service, or if you live nearby, you may utilize the walkup pickup or walker/biker dismissal plans. Car Line pick up requires that a school-issue car tag be displayed on the dashboard of your vehicle.
Families must confirm their default dismissal plan every school year. Parents and guardians are responsible for submitting any daily changes to their default plan such as absences and after-school activities. Changes can be made in advance, but must be submitted by 2 pm each day. If a change to your default plan is needed, contact the office.
More information about our arrival and dismissal procedures can be found on pages 59-61 of our Family Handbook.
All students attending Idaho Novus Classical Academy are eligible to ride the bus at no cost, with the priority of the safety of our students while they are traveling to and from school. Our bus routes cover our Primary Attendance Zone with strategically located community stops in Emmett, Eagle, and Horseshoe Bend. You can find our schedule and stops for each route in the links below, as well as our alternative schedule and our behavior expectations.
For questions about bussing, contact our transportation coordinator at jalexander@idahonovus.org or by calling the office.
